Hello there! My name is Musa Pam, founder and principal of Plateau Asset Management. I earned my MBA degree from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. I also graduated Summa Cum Laude with two Bachelor of Science degrees in engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy where I was elected and served as Student Goverment Association President. My indusry certifications include: Certified Energy Manager, Certified Plant Engineer, and Certified Healthcare Facility Manager.
My career spans two decades of progressive, responsible, award-winning stewardship of my client's business assets and people, primarily in the fields of Energy and Facilities Management and Environmental Sustainability. My first full-time job out of college was as an Associate Energy Engineer with Noresco (Now Ameresco), an energy service company. I was subsequently recruited to join Sodexo, North America's leading Quality of Life Services Company. My progressive responsibilities began as Assistant Director of Plant Operations, culminating with responsibility for healthcare facility solutions business in the six New England states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, as well as the six boroughs of New York City.
As Northeast District Manager, I was the business leader responsible for over $80M in managed volume and more than 250 direct and indirect reports, consistently exceeding growth and client satisfaction targets. Over time, I was fortunate to serve as both a mentor and a mentee.
I am proud to have ranked 4th out of over 150 District Managers nationwide on the company's FY 2014 "Vital Few" performance metrics dashboard, as well as recording the highest overall client satisfaction response rating in my region in FY 2015. In 2015, I was named Chair of the African American Leadership Forum for New England, having served as a member of all nine of the company's Employee Business Resource Groups (Diversity Network Groups) for 7 years.
Besides my commitment to excellence in managing people, processes and business assets, I have a keen sense of promoting diversity, nurturing a cluture of mentorship and ongoing personal and professional development that are all critical to successful and high performance teams.
In my spare time, I volunteer at Boston's famed Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, where the motto is "Find Your Strength!" I also volunteer at, and fund-raise for my alma mater, Massachusetts Maritime Academy in the areas of improving enrollment and retention for students of color and for its athletics fundraising campaigns. I am an avid golfer and student of the game, a die-hard fan of all five New England championship sports teams (yes, Major League Soccer's New England Revolution deserve their due), and enjoy reading, mentoring and serving others.
